Reynolds-Alberta Museum opened in 1992 and “Celebrates the Spirit of the Machine” by preserving, presenting, and promoting the mechanical heritage of transportation, aviation, agriculture, and industry from 1890 to the present.
The mission of the Friends is to be an effective volunteer organization that supports the vision and goals of the Reynolds-Alberta Museum.
The Friends of the Reynolds-Alberta Museum Society is a registered charity incorporated under the Alberta Societies Act. The Friends Society was created in October 1988. A volunteer Board of Directors, elected at the Annual General Meeting held in June, governs the Society.
The Society employs a part-time Executive Director. The Friends manage yearly contract staff for the museum and the required summer staff employees. Primary sources of revenue include membership fees, fundraising events, sponsorship, donations and grants.
