The Society’s main objective is to support services for the Reynolds-Alberta Museum. The specific services vary from time to time depending on the current need of the Museum.
The Friends provide the following support:
- Hosting and co-hosting events both during and outside regular Museum hours of operation. Such events include opening galas and receptions for selected exhibitions, conferences and activities.
- Conducting several fundraising projects to enhance the visitor experience at the Museum and actively seeking grants from various sources.
- Encouraging visitation to the Museum by assisting with annual events such as History Road and Harvest Festival.
- With the support of our volunteer program, providing a mechanism that allows community members to become actively involved in the operation of the Museum and provides a conduit for information and feedback between the Facility and the community at large.
- The Society also promotes the awareness of and support for the Museum in the community by participating in community events, making presentations about the Museum to service groups and developing and maintaining relationships within the business community.
